Touchable Textures

Natural Metals, Honed Stone, Sandblasted Wood

Today, Bernhardt introduces natural handworked metals, stones in honed finishes, and nude or raw-looking wood surfaces—often combined, in a move toward more textured and tactile home furnishings.

“Touchable organic materials relieve the coldness of stark interiors,” says Heather Eidenmiller, director of brand development. “We think these pieces convey a warm, romantic, crafted aesthetic. The organic textures help connect us to nature.”
