Furniture as Art

Geometry, Shape and Form

The Pop Art movement emerged in the United States during the mid-to-late 1950s, with a focus on shape and form. Consider the stylistic impact of Roy Lichtenstein’s dots, Eero Saarinen’s tulip design or Bridget Riley’s dimensional cubes. Bernhardt combines geometric shapes, forms and patterns in sleek modern structures with a dramatic presence. Each piece is a work of art, from mirrored tables with crisp lines to repeating circles and mezmerizing hexagonal patterns. “Art is a constant source of inspiration for Bernhardt,” says Heather Eidenmiller, director of brand development. “The shapes and figures on these pieces create distinctive and unique works of art that are perfect expressions of high design.”
