Edgy Casual Chic

A Modern Concept: Playing with Space + Transparency

Today Bernhardt introduces a second direction in modern casual chic—this style is a bit more edgy. These pieces are moving the excitement needle in silhouette and fabrication.

Attention-grabbing silos flirt with positive/negative space and transparency. The shapes aren’t radical, but they are artful and cool. Materials include translucent snow glass, acrylic, powder coated metal, bubble glass, and polished stainless steel that is worked into unconventional shapes sometimes calling to mind origami.

“We think these pieces are easy to live with and also very cool and fashion oriented,” says Heather Eidenmiller, director of brand development. “This is a stimulating conceptual style for people who live with confidence and wit.”
