Softly Tailored, Luxury Dressing with Pastel Accents

April 21, 2012 - A trend straight from Spring fashion week appears in Bernhardt's upholstered seating collection today.

The look is of softly tailored luxury dressing: simple silhouettes, soft colors, layering of textures, architecture, tone-on-tone and subtle wovens, all lightened up with fresh accents. It's like menswear but in a much softer approach - a welcome update.

High end heavyweight body fabrics come in neutral platinum, ivory, charcoal and graphite tones. Constructions include nubby heathered weaves, sweater cable knits, linear chenilles applied on the diagonal, velvets, fine woven block plaid, faux mohair and heavy pebbled pure aniline leathers.

Pastels and cupcake colors are the go-to accent colors of the season: mint green, baby blue, aqua blue. Like a Spring scarf that brings freshness to an outfit, toss pillows are worked up in soft stripes, botanicals and tribal patterns.

Brunswick Sectional B6791/B6792. Not Too Structured - A two-tone body-cloth provides texture, color and an incredibly soft hand. The color palette - greige and aqua blue - is inspired by current trends in apparel. Assorted pillows contribute to the comfort and color. Double scallops soften the shelter arm.
